Diablo 4 item upgrade Upgrades

Item upgrades allow players to increase the item upgrader mod level of equippable items such as weapons or armor, as well trinkets above a certain threshold. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.

Depending on the kind of item, upgrading it can cost Dilithium or gold. Additionally, many upgrades require Flightstones or crests. The amount of Flightstones and Crests required to upgrade an item is determined by the level of the item. Blizzard also sets a maximum upgrade level.
