World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrades allow players to increase the level of armor and weapons that can be equipped. This improves the effectiveness of the equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or rerolling an affix.

It is important to note that while you can upgrade magic and other common equipment, it's usually not worth the effort. Rare and unique equipment will quickly surpass upgraded magic and common gear.

Cost

The player must spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost to upgrade an item varies based on the current level of the item and the type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are usually cheaper than upgrades to armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as an item is upgraded.

An upgraded item will also have increased stats, which can improve its performance in various ways. This can include increasing its attack power or critical strike chance. Additionally, an upgraded item may be able to give additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to increase the overall strength of a group or unit, and could be a major influence on the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded by any NPC that is an upgrader in the game. These NPCs are located in major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also find upgraders in dungeons that have high-level bosses, and by talking to the NPCs in their garrisons of their faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to upgrade the level of their weapons, armor, and trinkets. This process is very similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the currency that is appropriate players need to visit an NPC for upgrading items to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be costly, particularly when it is related to armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade path each step up in item level can cost several Valorstones or crests. The total cost can be prohibitive for players who don't have the funds or aren't willing to grind them.

Fortunately the game lets players roll an upgraded item Upgrader mod using an additional tool available in the items menu. This option replaces the upgraded item with a level 1 version that has different bonus effects. This is a great way to get better rolls on items which are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.

Requirements

The process of upgrading equippable items such as weapons, armor and trinkets is to raise the item level upgrade level. This can increase their stats which makes them more powerful in battle. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate currency at an NPC that sells upgraders for items. However, they should be aware that certain upgrades have specific requirements.

Early upgrades only increase the effectiveness of the item's base level. Later upgrades provide more significant increases. Upgrades from level 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage plus two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on its level. The bonus is a combination of a guaranteed additional substat as well as a random stat that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item upgrading comes with a distinct set of bonuses, as well as a lower level of the item upgrader kit. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the item rerolled will not retain its level or have any of its wasted resources.

Rerolling some upgraded items is only possible if the item was upgraded was an Epic, Rare or Unique. Extraordinary items are also eligible for rerolling, but their original stats will be replaced by a flat bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will result in a Normal version, and rerolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.

Upgraded items can come with additional modifiers that can improve their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade price. You can purchase them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned through completing certain missions in the game.

To upgrade an item of equipment, you must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Depending on the type of item, you will need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is available from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.

Time is an important factor.

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of your gear and ship without having to level them. Although upgrading isn't expensive, it is an effective way to boost your stats without having to spend a lot of time fighting. It's important to know the costs and benefits before investing your money or time.

Each upgrade increases an item's base stat by a specific amount, and also offers the chance to gain a bonus substat increase. The random substat can be anything from a minor boost to a much larger boost. Concentrate on the things that are best in slots first. They will give you a higher returns for your money.

You can see the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting a weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will display the expected completion date and progress. In certain situations, you might be able to speed up the process of upgrading by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a top-quality salvage kit that permits you to retrieve all or a portion upgrade components. However, this doesn't include legendary equipment and upgrades, which can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor, or by recovering them through the appropriate karma merchant.

Take advantage of the benefits

Upgrades to items reward players with a number of items and currencies. In addition, every upgrade can grant a random extra stat bonus. The bonus value is different for every upgrade, and is typically higher for rarer items. The Great Vault can be searched by players to determine if an item is upgradeable. The search will help determine whether the item level upgrade is of a particular tier and whether the player could benefit from a particular upgrade.

During the upgrade process, an item will slowly grow closer to the next stage, but it is not always able to reach its full upgrade bar. This process consumes Growthstones and Sollant however there is a ten percent chance to achieve an upgraded item in just one cycle of growth. The more levels an item receives, the higher its stat boost and the more items it can upgrade to.

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to earn an attribute bonus or to create a unique effect when the equipment is worn. Some upgrade components also come with cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving them as gifts. Players can also retrieve upgraded items by using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging using a salvage of a higher tier kit. Glyphs that are placed on gathering tools can be swapped freely.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has a rerolling arrow players can roll it into an upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item's window and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced with a level 1 item. Recycled items will not keep their current level or amount of resources used to upgrade them.

An item's maximum upgrade level is determined by its tier and the quality. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels up to nine, whereas common items can only be upgraded to level six. Item upgrades are added to the item's base statistics and will no longer increase after a certain point.
