This should allow your child to have plenty of room and headroom.

A sling seat made of fabric is also available. It has the advantage of being set snugly inside the frame instead of sitting on top as the modular seat. This gives a lower centre of gravity and perfect weight distribution. This makes it easier and lighter to push, especially over bumpy terrain or curbs and MFM reviewer Kath really liked the way this type of seat negotiated these challenges.

This kind of buggy comes with an enormous basket, along with other useful features like an extended hood with 50+ UV protection, a simple to use brake pedal and a few innovative lights for visibility that can be positioned on the front of the passengers to ensure safety when riding on rough terrain.

Stores

The 3 wheel jogger-wheeled frame is much more sturdy and can be moved with just one hand. It's also more suitable for difficult terrain. However, it means that the shopping basket can't hold as much as a four-wheeled buggy.

A high-quality ATP will come with pneumatic tyres with a padded grip for better comfort, and an excellent suspension. It will also be equipped with a carrycot and car seat so you can use it from the moment you are born.

MFM's reviewers have noticed that the 3-wheeler frame doesn't pass through all doors in their homes or small car boots - make sure you check the dimensions of the buggy when it's folded before purchasing for those who are concerned about space.

Look for a 3-wheeler with 2 (or 3!) seats. seats as your family grows. They are the most efficient of both and future proof your money. The iCandy strawberry sport is one of the best of these and can be used as a single seat from day dot, and then transforms into twin buggies once your baby begins walking.

Tyres

These tyres cushion bumps and uneven surfaces to make your child's journey more comfortable. They are commonly included on pushchairs such as the Phil & Ted's Sport which MFM reviewer Kath said offered "an amazing ride for her toddler". She also mentioned that the grippy tyres on the Phil & Ted's Sport made it easy for her to maneuver around the kerbs as well as other obstacles.

They can be difficult to maintain their inflation and must be topped up frequently. They are also more susceptible to punctures than foam tyres so you'll need to make sure that you have repair kits along with a spare inner tube and pump in case you go you're out and about in your buggy.

PU tyres can be found on pushchairs as they are less expensive than tyres filled with air, but they are just as robust. You can tell PU tires by their smooth appearance and soft feel. They also slide across flat and tidy surfaces.

It's usually possible to tell the difference between PU and air-filled tire by running your fingers over each one, if it feels hard, then it's made of rubber, If it slides, then it's a PU.
