World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrades allow players to raise the item level of armor and weapons that can be equipped. This increases the stats of that equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or the rerolling of an affix.

It is important to keep in mind that upgrading common gear is not always worth the cost. Rare and unique gear will soon surpass upgraded magic and common equipment.

Cost

The player must spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level as well as the type of upgrade selected. For example, upgrading a weapon will generally be less expensive than upgrading armor because weapons have lower requirements for level. The amount of Gold required increases as an item is upgraded.

An upgraded item will also have improved stats, which can boost its performance in many ways. This can include boosting its attack strength or critical strike chance. A upgraded item can also give additional bonuses to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades are able to be used for a variety of reasons for example, to increase the overall power of a particular or group unit. They can also have a major impact on gameplay.

Items can be upgraded at any NPC that is an upgrader in the game. In general these NPCs are found in major cities or questing locations. You can also find item-upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses. You can also talk to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.

The item upgrade system in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the levels of weapons, armor, and trinkets. This process is very similar to the process used for gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the currency appropriate to the task players must visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Upgrades can be expensive especially for weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade track you choose, each item level increase will cost Valorstones or Crests. The cost can be prohibitive for players who do not have the funds, or are unwilling to grind.

The game allows players to roll a new item upgrader kit by using a special tool from the menu of items. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with an unlevel 1 version that has different bonuses. This can help you get better rolls on items that have been upgraded, but it can also be a waste of time and resources.

Requirements

The process of upgrading items that are equippable like armor, weapons and trinkets is to raise the level of the item. This increases their power and makes them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade gear by spending the appropriate currency at a NPC who sells upgrades for items. Players should be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require specific requirements.

The earliest upgrades only increase the stats of the item's base by one level, but later upgrades give more substantial enhancements. Additionally the upgraded item will be awarded bonus stats, which is based on the tier it's in. The bonus consists of a substat that is guaranteed and random generated stats that will change from upgrade to upgrade.

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item will have an additional set of bonuses, as well as a lower base item level. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the rerolled item upgrader mod does not retain its original level or even a fraction of its resource.

Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the initial item was a Unique Epic, Rare, or Rare. Exceptional items are also allowed to be rerolled, but their original stats will be replaced with an uninvolved bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will result in the normal version, and doing the same with the Epic version will result in an elite version.

(Dice 6 are dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 can be found from Bosses). You will also require various amounts of Minerals and Erons.

Time is a major factor.

Upgrades to items can be used to increase the power of your equipment and ship without having to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap but they can be a great way to increase your stats without having to spend as much time fighting. It is important to understand the costs and benefits before making the investment of time or money.

Each upgrade boosts an item's base stat by a specific amount, and also gives a chance for a bonus stat increase. The extra substat is random and could range from a tiny increase in one stat to a larger boost in another. It is best to concentrate on the Best item upgrader-in-slot items first, as they will provide a greater return for your investment.

You can view the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting the weapon, ship or accessory. The upgrade window will show the expected completion date and progress. In some cases you may be capable of speeding the process by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a top-quality salvage kit which allows you to recover all or a portion upgrade components. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered with an Upgrade extractor or by reclaiming with the corresponding Karma retailer.

Upgrades to items reward players with a variety of items and currencies. In addition, each upgrade is able to provide a random extra stat bonus. The amount of bonus awarded differs for every upgrade, and is usually higher for items that are rarer. The players can perform the Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable before spending tickets. The search can help determine whether the item is of a specific class and whether the player would benefit by upgrading to a specific upgrade.

During the upgrade, the item will slowly move closer to the next level, but not always reach the maximum upgrade bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant but there is a 10% chance of obtaining a fully upgraded item within just one cycle. The more levels an item receives, the higher its boosted stats value and the more items it is able to upgrade into.

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, or armor to earn an attribute bonus or an additional effect, while the equipment is being worn. Some upgrade components have additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are available by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving them as gifts. Players can also recover upgraded items by using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs, which are placed in tools for gathering can be swapped out without restrictions.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button, which has an arrow for rerolling players can reroll it into another upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the game and allow players to select up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item will be replaced with a level 1 item. Recycled items don't keep their current level or amount of resources needed to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its tier and quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine, whereas common items can only be upgraded to level six. Item upgrades are added to the item's base statistics and do not increase after a certain point.
